Bath & Kitchen Worktop Sealant Services
Are your bath, shower or kitchen worktop seals going mouldy?
Bath and sink areas always gather up soap residue, this gives something for mildew to grab hold onto to, after time this grows into mould giving you that unsightly black line around your sink/bath.
We offer a complete removal and refit of bath, shower and kitchen seals.
Many plumbers just scrape out loose sealant and cover the old with new giving a rough finish that will last only a month or 2 before the problem arises again.
Our expert sealers remove ALL of the old sealant by hand then using a sealant eater we take it back to the tile and bath giving a clean and germ free surface for the new sealant to adhere to.
We use anti-fungal seal to help prevent the problem arising again.

It usually takes around 2 hours to complete the job and we will leave your house as tidy as it was when we arrive.
Our trained technician will arrive at a specified time and give you a free bathroom survey highlighting any issues that may be causing your seals to go black and advise on what you should do to stop it happening again.
He will lay down protective covering on your floors and bath/shower.
They will expertly remove all traces of the old sealants. This is a very thorough process that is often done half-heartedly. Leaving old sealant will just encourage growth on the new.
The area will be cleaned, disinfected and dried ready for application.
All edges will be taped ensuring no overspread common with a lot of seals. This is time consuming and not always the way plumbers and handymen do it but the extra time guarantees an even seal.
New sealant applied and smoothed to a profile.
Tape removed and area cleaned leaving you a nice brand new seal.
Why should I replace my silicone?
Black seals are unsightly. If you are trying to sell or rent your property it is not a good selling point to have mouldy baths and showers. The kitchen and bathroom are 2 of the biggest factors when people are picking a property so maximise your potential.
Damage to property
Seals that are mouldy could have shrunk and lost there adhesion allowing water to leak into the walls and floors causing potentially thousands of pounds of damage without you knowing about it until its far too late.
Mould is bacteria and spreads. If your seals are leaking and left untreated mould could be spreading on your walls or under the bath. Symptoms that can be caused by mould allergy are watery, itchy eyes, a chronic cough, headaches or migraines, difficulty breathing, rashes, tiredness, sinus problems, nasal blockage and frequent sneezing.
Its easy and cheap to fix so don’t worry.
Why do my seals go black?
Unfortunately a hot and humid environment like the bathroom is perfect for mould and mildew to thrive they are simple plants belonging to the group known as fungi.
Moulds are always present in the air, those that cause mildew need the elements above to start forming on surfaces.
The constant use of soaps and daily grime accelerate the process greatly.
